T.O.STORM NEWS!

Founded November 5, 2011

The T.O.STORM was established by our founder, Patrick Andrews. Mr. Andrews had been working as the Director of Education for the Tohono O'odham Nation and was keen to the amount of services available for members of the Tohono O'odham Nation. Mr. Andrews determined there was more that could be done and with the help of Kristopher Baptisto they formed the first T.O.STORM boys basketball team. The initial goal was to have the team prepare and compete in the Native American Basketball Invitational (NABI) tournament in Phoenix, AZ.

From those humble beginnings it was clear the student-athletes were willing to continue participating and the team decided to compete again the following year.

Two years after the start of the T.O.STORM boys basketball team, the demand to start a girls team was clear. Shortly after this the first T.O.STORM girls basketball team formed and competed in the NABI
